Meet the Winner of Nobel Prize Literature 2015

T he winner's name of  Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2015  was announced.  Belarusian writer and journalist ‪Svetlana Alexievich‬ has won the 2015 ‎Nobel Prize‬ for literature. Her best known works in English translation included  Voices From Chernobyl , an oral history of the nuclear catastrophe; and  Zinky Boys , a collection of first-hand accounts from the Soviet-Afghan war. Alexievich is a political writer who is critical of her home country's government. Important Point to Note :  She becomes the  14th woman to win the prize  since it was first awarded in 1901. The last woman to win, Canada’s Alice Munro, was handed the award in 2013. The prize committee called her writing a monument to courage and suffering in our time. Meet the Winner of Nobel Peace Prize 2015

he  Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2015  announced.  Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet  has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its role in helping the country's transition to democracy.  Kaci Kullmann Five , the newly appointed chairman of the Norwegian Nobel committee has announced this prize in Oslo today.   The prize is 8 million Swedish kronor (around $975,000). About   Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet The  Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet  is a group of four organizations that were central in the  attempts to build a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia in the wake of the Jasmine Revolution of 2011. Meet the Winner of Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences 2015

T he Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences 2015, the last award in Nobel Prizes series for the year 2015 was announced.  Angus Deaton  of Princeton University (USA) has won this award. He was honored " for his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare "  the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced today. By linking detailed individual choices and aggregate outcomes, his research has helped transform the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and development economics. The work for which Deaton is now being honored revolves around three central questions: How do consumers distribute their spending among different goods?; How much of society's income is spent and how much is saved? and How do we best measure and analyze welfare and poverty?.
