Important Details you should know about India's Mars Orbiter Mission / Mangalyaan

F riends, as all of you know, Today (24th September 2014), India has created space history by successfully placing its low-cost Mangalyan spacecraft  in orbit around the Red Planet. With this, India became the  first nation   to reach Mars   on its maiden attempt . Our Mangalyaan spacecraft successfully entered orbit around the Red Planet after a 10-month journey. The success of the mission, which is designed to search for evidence of life on the Red Planet, is a huge source of national pride for India as it leaves its Asian rivals, including China, in the shade.  It is a significant achievement after Chandrayaan. India now joins an elite club of the  United States, Russia  and  Europe  who can boast of reaching Mars. Sukanya Samriddhi Account - New Saving Scheme for Girl Child Sukanya Samriddhi Account ( Girl Child Prosperity Account ) is a Government of India backed saving scheme targeted at the parents of girl children. It is a welcome step by the Indian Government which is a part of its  “Beti Bachao  - Beti Padhao” initiative. Sukanya Samriddhi Account was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd January 2015. It is a  small savings scheme. The account can be opened by the parents or a legal guardian of a girl child in any post office or authorized branches of some of the commercial banks. The age of the girl at the time of opening of account should not be more than 10 years. One year relaxation available this year. Minimum deposit amount is 1000 and maximum amount is 150000 per annum. Money must be deposited for 14 years. Amount can be deposited in cash or cheque. Initially, the interest rate was set at 9.1% per annum but later revised to 9.25 in late March 2015 Maturi

T he  129th edition of Wimbledon Championships  was held at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London from  29th June  to  12th July 2015 .  Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Metro Style Search Bar for Blogger

A s Microsoft has enrolled the new Windows 8 Metro Style OS, a lot of change in the designing section of the blogging community has been seen. Now a days people are changing their template/theme and giving them a Metro look. If you are one of those people here is a fabulous widget for you - A Metro Style Blogger Search Bar. Its CSS has been compressed to make it load faster. The bar looks very cool and I personally like it. Well there is no need to demo for this search bar, you can see how this search bar looks in the above image.
